On September 16th and 17th, 2024, KOTO trainees of Class 43 and 44 had the wonderful opportunity to visit Na Chao and Lac villages in Mai Chau, Hoa Binh while immersing themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of the community.
Sponsored by Discova — a leading tourism development company in Vietnam, the KOTO trainees experienced the vibrant life of the Thai ethnic community and discovered the unique cultural and historical features of the region. Alongside invaluable knowledge about sustainable tourism business models that can enhance local livelihoods, they learned the true essence of sharing love through a heartfelt exchange event with meaningful Mid-Autumn gifts.
"This is my first time visiting Mai Chau, and also the first time I’ve experienced the essence of Vietnam's ethnic culture so vividly." — Luu Huy Hoang, Class 43.
"This place has given me so many new experiences, along with an incredible sense of peace. It’s not bustling like Sapa or Cao Bang, but the people of Mai Chau are working hard every day to develop local tourism with many exciting activities for visitors. I’m truly grateful to Discova for such an unforgettable trip!" — Tran Duc Hieu, Class 43.
Filled with joy and excitement, we wish to express our deepest gratitude to Discova for such a successful trip. It was not only an opportunity to gain valuable insights but also a source of motivation and inspiration for their future career paths. Above all, this journey strengthens KOTO’s vision and mission, bringing them closer to the disadvantaged and at-risk communities who need it most. Together, we are building up a better future for disadvantaged and at-risk communities in Vietnam!
