According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam’s economy got a strong start in 2025, laying a solid foundation for the year ahead. Total registered FDI in January reached $4.33 billion, a 48.6% increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, total retail sales of goods and consumer services grew by 9.5%. This strong demand is expected to fuel growth in the food and beverage industry. Another report from Mordor Intelligence estimates that Vietnam’s food service market will reach $24.77 billion this year, with a projected CAGR of 10.73% from 2025 to 2030. The industry is undergoing rapid digital transformation, driven by changing consumer behavior and increased adoption of technology. While this presents promising opportunities, it also challenges businesses to stay ahead of trends and adapt quickly.
In the first month of 2025, Vietnam’s tourism sector set a new record, welcoming 2.1 million international visitors, a 36.9% increase compared to January 2024 and a 37.8% rise from January 2019 (General Statistics Office, February 6, 2025). This marks a new milestone for Vietnam’s tourism, surpassing the nearly 2 million international visitors in January 2020, and exceeding pre-pandemic numbers from 2019. The top sources of international visitors to Vietnam include China (575,000 visitors), South Korea (417,000), Cambodia (100,000), the United States (93,000), and Taiwan (91,000). Following these are other key markets such as Japan, Australia, India, Malaysia, and Thailand respectively. To meet the growing tourism demand, more focus is needed on improving and promoting tourism, upgrading infrastructure, technology, and strengthening cooperation between associations and businesses.

In this new context, Food & Hospitality Hanoi 2025 is seen as a key opportunity for buyers to connect directly with distributors and enjoy exclusive offers. Visitors will also have the chance to experience a unique cultural and culinary space through events like The 3rd Hanoi Salon Culinaire 2025, Vietnam Barista Competition (VBC), Vietnam Aromaster Championship (VAC) and The Asia's Excellent Taste Awards 2025, which honors outstanding contributions to Vietnam’s food, restaurant, and hospitality sectors.
In addition, this event provides visitors with the opportunity to stay updated on the latest trends, through the series of conferences co-organized by Informa Markets and prestigious organizations such as Vietnam Hotel Association (VHA), Vietnam Executive Housekeeper Association (VEHA), Vietnam Culinary Culture Association in Da Nang (DCCA), and Vietnam Investment Review (VIR). These conferences will cover topics such as optimizing hotel operating costs, using AI to enhance customer experiences, developing new food and beverage (F&B) chain models that blend tradition with technology, and the inevitable trend of sustainable growth in the F&B sector.

The event is part of Food & Hospitality series around the world, which includes over 40+ international trade exhibitions dedicated to the food, beverage, and hospitality industries organized by Informa Markets. With alternating editions in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Food & Hospitality Hanoi 2025 will welcome over 170 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions. Notably, several prominent international pavilions will be present, including California Agricultural Export Council, California Milk Advisory Board, EU Pork, Food Export, Association of the Midwest and Northeast USA, German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, ICE - Italian Trade Commission, Japan Fisheries Association, Norwegian Seafood Council, Potatoes USA, Raisin Administrative Committee, U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council, US Meat Export Federation, USA Poultry & Egg Export Council, Washington Apple Commission, etc.
The exhibition is expected to attract over 7,200 trade visitors over three days, from March 18 to March 20. A wide range of F&B products will be showcased, including ingredients, production equipment for bakery, pastry & ice cream; tea, coffee; meat, eggs, dairy, grains, seafood, spices, and more.
