Box Hill Institute
Since 2004, KOTO has been recognised as an extended campus of Box Hill Institute, however. the partnership began in 2002.
Established in 1924, Box Hill Institute has a national and international reputation as a provider of quality education, both technical skills as well as formal education. Our trainees graduate with not only the KOTO certificate of completion, but also a Box Hill Institute Certificate III in Hospitality, an internationally recognised hospitality accreditation.
This gives KOTO graduates the opportunity to work worldwide as their Australian qualification is recognised internationally. It also gives trainees access to other benefits such as the Box Hill Institute alumni program.
Box Hill Institute has also provided scholarships to KOTO graduates providing opportunities for our alumni to further their studies.
British Council
KOTO and British Council have been longterm partners in raising awareness of the Social Enterprise concept in Vietnam. In addition, the British Council were instrumental in KOTO being legally recognised as Vietnam's first Social Enterprise in 2016. As part of the 20th Anniversary celebrations, the British Council is running its two-day Active Citizen Workshop for KOTO alumni and staff. This Workshop promotes community-led social development through building trust within and between communities and across key stakeholders. It motivates community members to take responsibility for their social needs by giving them the knowledge, skill, experience and network to address them.
Le Cordon Bleu
2008 saw the launch of the Le Cordon Bleu – KOTO Hospitality Tuition Scholarship, awarded periodically to a KOTO graduate.
The scholarship enables the recipient to study either a Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management or Restaurant Business at the Le Cordon Bleu School in Adelaide, Australia, or the Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts at the Le Cordon Bleu School in Sydney, Australia.
In the 112 years of its existence, Le Cordon Bleu has become a global leader in hospitality education, with 30 international schools throughout 15 countries, which is why KOTO graduates are delighted to have the opportunity to attain further education there.
Macquarie University
Established in 1964, Macquarie University began as a bold experiment in higher education. Built to break from traditions: to be distinctive, progressive, and to be transformational.
PACE is a programme unique to Macquarie that broadens students' study experience by embedding real-world learning activities into their degree. PACE International works through medium to long term partnerships with community organisations around the world. International activities are developed around a model of reciprocity, connecting students and partners in sustained relationships. KOTO has been working with PACE International since 2010, and is Macquarie PACE's international partner.
QTS
Quality Training Solutions (QTS) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), delivering nationally recognised courses. QTS offers a range of Certificate and Diploma courses as well as customised training and executive level courses. QTS’s education technology platform enables students to fit study within their busy schedules by allowing them to study when and where they like.
In 2018, the MoU signed between QTS and KOTO provides full scholarships for 30 trainees to complete QTS' global standardized courses. In addition, KOTO alumni have the opportunity to study via QTS at a discounted rate.
RMIT University Vietnam
RMIT University Vietnam is the Asian campus of Melbourne-based University RMIT. RMIT Vietnam offers programmes from business and management to design and micro engineering, and boasts an impressive range of extra-curricular activities that encourage students to break new ground in their areas of interest.
RMIT University Vietnam and KOTO have collaborated over many years. In 2019, RMIT has organised and hosted a series of alumni professional development workshops for KOTO alumni as part of the KOTO 20th Anniversary and Graduation ceremony in June 2019.
United Nations International School of Hanoi
KOTO and UNIS Hanoi have been longterm partners. Since 2002, UNIS Hanoi has collaborated with KOTO on joint sporting activities, arts and crafts and providing swim instruction to KOTO trainees to name a few. In addition, UNIS Hanoi has sponsored the annual KOTO Dream Ride and provided the campus as a venue for graduation celebrations. In March 2019, UNIS Hanoi opened their kitchen and canteen to host the final assessment for Class 31. The 29 trainees in Class 31 designed the menu, ordered the ingredients, cooked and served a three-course meal with multiple starters, five main course choices, 2 desserts, and drinks for over 300 hungry but very grateful students, parents and coaches. In addition, UNIS Hanoi students and KOTO alumni and trainees played a friendly game of football followed by a BBQ in June to celebrate the relationship between these two organisations as part of the KOTO 20th Anniversary celebrations.
